Terms of Service

Effective date: 23 July 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Dulguun Battur, who operates Amtly. They govern your use of the Amtly iOS app, the getamtly.com website and everything in them. By using Amtly you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. The agreement

Amtly is a restaurant-discovery service for Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, operated by Dulguun Battur. These Terms apply to the app and the website together. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of your agreement with us.

We may add, change or remove features at any time. If we discontinue a feature you rely on, we will try to give reasonable notice.

2. Who may use Amtly

Amtly is rated 12+. You must be at least 13 years old — or older, where the minimum age of digital consent in your country is higher — to create an account and use the community features. By using Amtly you confirm that you meet that requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.

3. Your account

You can create an account with an email address and password, with Google, or with Apple. Keep your credentials secure: you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@getamtly.com if you think it has been compromised.

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab in the iOS app. Deletion is permanent and removes the content attached to your account, as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Licence to use Amtly

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Amtly for your own, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, rent, sell or sublicense the app or the site, scrape or bulk-extract its content, or build a competing service from it, except where that restriction is prohibited by law. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

5. Restaurant information is not guaranteed

Restaurant listings on Amtly come from several places: records imported from OpenStreetMap, information submitted by restaurant owners and partners, and edits by our own team. Each imported listing keeps its source disclosure on the restaurant page.

That information — opening hours, prices, menus, dish descriptions, addresses, allergen and dietary suitability — may be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong, and it is provided for general guidance only. Confirm anything that matters, especially allergens, prices and opening hours, directly with the restaurant. We do not operate the restaurants, we are not a party to your dealings with them, and we are not responsible for the food, service or facilities they provide.

6. Content you post

“Your content” means everything you submit to Amtly: reviews and ratings, Bites photos and captions, comments, your display name and profile photo, and anything else you upload. You are responsible for it. You confirm that you own it or have the rights to post it, that it is honest, and that it does not break these Terms, any law, or anyone else’s rights.

Most of what you post is public. Reviews, Bites posts, comments, your display name and your profile photo are visible to anyone using Amtly, and other people can report them. Do not post anything you would not want to be public.

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. Do not post a review in exchange for payment or a discount, do not review your own business or a competitor, and do not post the same review repeatedly. We may remove reviews that we reasonably believe are fake, incentivised or coordinated.

7. Who owns your content

You keep ownership of your content. By posting it you grant Dulguun Battur a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display formats, publish and display that content, together with your display name, for the purpose of operating and promoting Amtly.

That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained transiently in backups, copies others have lawfully saved or reshared, and anything we must keep by law. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.

8. Objectionable content and abusive users

We operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You may not:

  • Post content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, hateful, or that promotes violence or discrimination against any person or group.
  • Post sexually explicit or obscene material, or anything that exploits or endangers a minor.
  • Bully, harass, intimidate, stalk, impersonate or abuse another person, or publish someone else’s private information.
  • Post spam, scams, malware, or misleading, fake or fraudulent content, including fake reviews.
  • Infringe anyone’s intellectual-property, privacy or other rights.
  • Interfere with Amtly’s security or with our moderation, reporting, blocking or rate-limiting tools, or use automated means to access the service without our permission.

9. Reporting, blocking and our response

Amtly gives you tools to report objectionable content. In the iOS app you can report a restaurant listing, a review, a Bites post, a comment or a user, and block another user so you no longer see their content or interactions. On the website, sign in and use the flag on a restaurant page or on any review to report it and pick a reason. Reporting posts, comments and users, and blocking someone, are still app-only — for anything the website cannot yet report, email support@getamtly.com.

We review every report of objectionable content and act on it within 24 hours by removing the content, restricting the account, or both. We may also remove content, limit features, or suspend or terminate an account that breaks these Terms, with or without notice. Reporting or blocking does not guarantee any particular outcome beyond that commitment.

If you believe we removed your content by mistake, email support@getamtly.com and we will look at it again.

10. Restaurants, claims and partners

If you claim or register a restaurant, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that business and that the details you submit are accurate. We review applications before approving them and may ask for evidence, refuse an application, or withdraw an approval that turns out to be wrong or is misused.

An approved owner can manage their listing and read the private notes diners leave for that restaurant. Owners may not edit or delete a diner’s note, may not post reviews of their own restaurant or a competitor’s, and may not use diners’ contact details for marketing. Retaliating against a diner for an honest review is grounds for removing an owner’s access.

12. Our intellectual property

Amtly — including its name, logo, design, illustrations, text and software — belongs to Dulguun Battur and its licensors and is protected by law. Imported data keeps the licence of its source: map data from OpenStreetMap is used under the Open Database Licence and attributed accordingly. Apart from the licence in these Terms and your own content, nothing here grants you rights in our intellectual property.

13. Third-party services and links

Amtly relies on third-party services to work, including Supabase, Vercel, PostHog, map and geocoding providers, and Google and Apple for sign-in. It also links to restaurants’ own pages and to advertisers’ sites. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.

14. Disclaimers

Amtly is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that restaurant information, reviews or other user content are accurate. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dulguun Battur will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of Amtly — including anything that happens at a restaurant you found through it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Amtly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms or to protect Amtly and the people who use it. When your access ends, the licence in these Terms ends with it; the sections that by their nature should survive — content licences for material you have not deleted, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — continue to apply.

17. App Store terms

For the iOS app, these Terms are between you and Dulguun Battur only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies where its scope overlaps with these Terms. You also agree that:

  • Dulguun Battur, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and for any maintenance and support for it.
  • Apple has no warranty obligation for the app, and any claim relating to it is directed to Dulguun Battur, not Apple.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
  • You are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated a “terrorist supporting” country, and you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Amtly changes. When we do, we revise the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use Amtly after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

19. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mongolia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Mongolia have jurisdiction over any dispute — except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you additional rights or a different forum. This does not limit Apple’s rights under the App Store terms above.
